OpsLoop vs Cheaper CRMs: Security, Uptime and the Team Behind the Tool
Cheaper CRMs now offer the WhatsApp API too. Here is what actually separates OpsLoop: AI that works every lead, enterprise-grade security and backups, 99.9% uptime, a dedicated growth manager and support that resolves tickets within an hour.
Every lead-driven business in India gets quoted a CRM at ₹599 to ₹1,099 per user per month. Many of these tools now include the official WhatsApp Business API and keep each customer's data separate. So the honest question is not "does the cheaper tool have WhatsApp?" It is: who answers the lead at 9 PM, who protects your data when something goes wrong, and who picks up the phone when you need help?
OpsLoop is our product, so read this as our argument. We have kept every claim specific and checkable, and we list where OpsLoop is not the right fit at the end.

1. A tool that stores leads vs a system that works them
Most per-seat CRMs are built around one job: give your team a place to log calls and move leads between stages. The lead waits until a person opens it.
A customer enquires at 9 PM on a Sunday. Your team calls back at 11 AM on Monday. By then they have spoken to two other businesses, and the one that replied first usually wins.
OpsLoop works the lead itself:
- Replies on WhatsApp in under 60 seconds, at any hour, on your own business number.
- Qualifies the lead with a few natural questions and books the call on your team's calendar.
- Briefs your salesperson before they dial: what the lead asked, what they said, what was promised.
- Follows up automatically on day 0, 2, 4 and 7 until the lead books or says no.
- Moves the pipeline and reports by itself, so the owner sees every stage, every rep and every leak.

2. Where your lost revenue actually is
Owners usually look for lost revenue in ad spend. It is mostly in the enquiries you already paid for and never followed up a second time.
Take any business that gets 100 enquiries a month. If 30 of them get one call and then silence, that is 30 customers you paid to attract and never really tried to close. Multiply by your average sale. That number repeats every month.
Recovery is mechanical, not clever:
- Every enquiry gets an instant reply and a follow-up sequence.
- A reply pauses the sequence and lands with your salesperson, with full context.
- Leads that go quiet get a final message, and the ones that answer are revenue you had written off.
- A weekly leak report tells the owner exactly where leads dropped and who dropped them.
We proved this in our own business first. Same team, same city: the year before, ₹8 lakh of ads brought ₹8.5 lakh of revenue. On OpsLoop, ₹5.5 lakh of ads brought ₹13.5 lakh. We did not get more leads. We answered and followed up the ones we already had.

3. Enterprise-grade security, in plain terms
Your lead and customer list is the one asset your business cannot rebuild. Here is exactly how OpsLoop protects it.

Encryption. All data is encrypted at rest with AES-256, and every connection to OpsLoop (app, API and WhatsApp webhooks) runs over TLS with HSTS enforced, so traffic cannot be silently downgraded to plain HTTP.
Isolation between businesses. Every business gets its own workspace. Row-level security is switched on for every single table in the database (91 of 91 today), so a query from your team can only ever return rows that belong to your workspace. This is enforced by the database itself, not just by the app screen.
Access inside your team. Role-based access (admin, manager, salesperson) controls who can see, export or change what. Everyone signs in with their own account (Google, Apple or email), so there is no shared team login, and removing a person removes their access.
A full audit trail. Every call, message, stage change and assignment is logged against the lead with a timestamp and the person who did it. If something changes, you can see who changed it and when.
Backups. Every workspace is backed up automatically every night by a separate job, and the backups are stored apart from the live database. The live database runs on managed Postgres on AWS.
Protection from attacks. Both the OpsLoop app and its API sit behind Cloudflare, which absorbs DDoS attacks and filters malicious and bot traffic before it ever reaches your data. We also audit every database function that can be reached from the internet and lock down anything that does not need public access.
Built for India's DPDP Act. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act expects businesses to collect data with consent, use it for a stated purpose, keep it secure and honour requests to access or erase it. OpsLoop supports that by design: an opt-out line on every marketing message, the source of every enquiry recorded with the lead, full export of your data at any time, and deletion on request.
Conversations stay with the business. Chats live on your business WhatsApp number with the full history, not on a salesperson's personal phone. When someone leaves, their follow-ups and promises stay with you.

4. Reliability: 99.9% uptime and nothing lost
A CRM that is down on a Monday morning costs you the leads that arrived over the weekend. OpsLoop commits to 99.9% uptime.
The system is also built so that a short interruption does not lose anything:
- If our WhatsApp webhook is ever unreachable, Meta keeps retrying delivery of incoming messages, and they land in OpsLoop as soon as it is back.
- Every follow-up journey stores its exact position per lead in the database. After any interruption it resumes from the step it was on, so a customer never gets a duplicate message or a skipped one.
- Scheduled jobs (follow-ups, AI calls, backups, reports) run on the database's own scheduler, not on someone's laptop.
5. Not just a tool: a growth team on your side
This is the part no ₹599-a-seat tool can match, because it is people, not software.

- A dedicated growth manager. One named person who knows your business. They set up your journeys and templates, review your funnel numbers with you, and tell you what to fix when leads start leaking.
- Support that starts instantly. Work on your ticket starts the moment you raise it, and tickets are resolved within an hour. Not a queue, not a chatbot loop.
- Done-for-you setup. The one-time setup covers your WhatsApp Business account, the AI trained on your products and the questions your customers ask, your follow-up journeys and your message templates. You are live in a day, not after a six-week implementation project.
With a cheaper tool, you buy software and figure it out yourself. With OpsLoop, you get the software and the experts who run it with you.
6. The price that grows with your team
Per-seat pricing is designed to look small. ₹799 per user is ₹799 for one person and ₹6,392 for eight, before the WhatsApp add-on, the AI add-on and Meta's per-message charges. Every new hire raises the bill.
OpsLoop is a flat monthly price per team-size band: Starter ₹3,000 (1–3 users), Growth ₹5,000 (4–8), Scale ₹6,999 (9–15) and Enterprise on request. GST is extra. Six-month billing is pay five months, get six; yearly is pay nine, get twelve. AI voice calls and WhatsApp template messages are prepaid usage credits, so you only pay for what you send. Adding a person inside your band costs nothing.

Where OpsLoop is not the right fit
- You want bulk broadcast marketing to lakhs of contacts. OpsLoop runs one-to-one follow-up, not newsletters.
- You need post-sale ticketing or a helpdesk. OpsLoop stops at the payment.
- You are outside India. Pricing, WhatsApp flows and support hours are built for Indian businesses.
- You are a one-person business with a handful of enquiries a month. A spreadsheet will do until you grow.
Five questions to ask any CRM vendor before you buy
- What happens to a lead that arrives at 9 PM, before anyone on my team sees it?
- Is my data encrypted, isolated from other customers at the database level, and backed up every night?
- What protects the app from attacks, and what uptime do you commit to in writing?
- When I raise a ticket, how fast does work start, and how fast is it resolved?
- Will I have a named person who helps me grow, or just a login?
